ECM's C-Automatik 54 On-Demand Espresso Grinder was designed with equal attention paid to both performance and visual style. Featuring key updates over ECM's existing range of 54mm grinders, the C-Automatik is equipped with programmable timed grinding, beautiful polished steel housing with anthracite accenting, and a precision worm gear grind adjustment mechanism. ECM owners can rejoice at the arrival of their machine's new best friend.

Features and Performance

As its name suggests, the C-Automatik grinds with a set of 54mm flat steel burrs, powered by a 235W motor. Grind adjustment is stepless and is controlled by a worm gear that threads into the collar beneath the hopper. This enables incredibly precise grind adjustment and secures the burrs to prevent drift during operation. The new microswitch controller can be activated simply by locking in your portafilter while the robust hook allows for hand's free grinding.

Espresso is ground at approximately 1.1g/s meaning the C-Automatik 54 can produce an 18g double shot in less than 20 seconds. The LED display features new programming for single and double timed grinding, programmable within 1/10th of a second. The grinder can also be operated manually and features a single dose mode to suit any routine.
