Choosing a treadmill
What is the difference between a walking pad and a treadmill?
A walking pad is a slim, low-profile machine built for walking at desk speeds. It has no handrail or a very short one, folds or slides away easily, and suits working while you walk. A full treadmill has a longer belt, a taller frame with handrails and a stronger motor, so it handles jogging and running as well as walking. Every listing shows its top speed, so you can see at a glance which one it is.
Which type should I buy?
Choose a walking pad if you mainly want steps during the working day. Choose a folding treadmill if you want to run at home but need the floor space back afterwards. Choose a home treadmill if it can stay set up and you want a longer belt and more incline. Choose a commercial treadmill if it will be used by several people every day, as in a gym, studio or workplace. Curved treadmills are self-powered and are aimed at sprint and interval training.
How much space do I need?
Each product page lists the machine's dimensions in use, and its folded dimensions where the manufacturer supplies them. Measure the floor area first, then leave clear space behind and to each side so you can step on and off safely. The manufacturer's manual states the exact clearance it recommends for that model.
Are your treadmills new?
Yes. Everything we list is brand new and boxed, supplied with the manufacturer's warranty. We do not sell used, ex-display, graded or refurbished machines.
How do I compare two models?
Every product page carries a full specification table taken from the manufacturer's own data, and a side-by-side comparison against similar models. On category pages you can filter by top speed, incline, whether the frame folds and maximum user weight.
A specification I need is not listed. Can you check it?
Yes. We only publish figures the manufacturer has supplied, so a blank row means we have not been able to verify it rather than that it does not exist. Email support@tonava.com with the model name and we will confirm it before you order.
Delivery
How much does delivery cost?
Standard delivery is free to every address in the United Kingdom, with no minimum spend. An express option is available at checkout for £29.99 if you need the order prioritised.
Where do you deliver?
We deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom only.
How long will my order take?
Orders are usually processed within 1 to 2 business days, and standard UK delivery then takes 3 to 8 business days from dispatch. During busy periods processing can take a little longer.
How is a large treadmill delivered?
Larger treadmills and commercial machines go out on a specialist pallet or two-person carrier service. The carrier contacts you to arrange a delivery date that suits you, rather than simply turning up.
What if access is difficult?
Treadmills are heavy. Please check the delivery address has suitable access and tell us when you order if there are stairs, narrow doorways or restricted parking, so the delivery can be planned properly.
Can I track my order?
Yes. Tracking details are emailed to you as soon as the order is dispatched.
Returns and refunds
What is your returns policy?
You have 30 days from receiving your item to request a return. The item needs to be in the same condition you received it, unused and in its original packaging, and you will need your receipt or proof of purchase.
How do I start a return?
Email support@tonava.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will confirm the next steps before you send anything back.
When will I be refunded?
Once we have received and inspected the return we will let you know whether the refund is approved. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within 10 business days. If more than 15 business days have passed since approval, email support@tonava.com.
My order arrived damaged or incomplete. What now?
Please inspect the order on delivery and email support@tonava.com straight away with your order number and photographs. We will evaluate the issue and put it right.
Warranty and support
Is there a warranty?
Yes. Every machine is covered by the manufacturer's warranty, which varies by brand and by model. Where the manufacturer has published the terms for a model, they are shown in that product's specification table.
How do I make a warranty claim?
Email support@tonava.com with your order number and a description of the fault, along with photographs or a short video if the problem is something that can be seen or heard. We will take it from there with the manufacturer.
Can you help me choose before I order?
Yes. Email support@tonava.com with the space you have, who will be using the machine and whether you plan to walk, jog or run, and we will point you at the models that fit.
Payment and security
Is checkout secure?
Yes. Payment is handled by Shopify's hosted checkout over an encrypted connection. Your full card details are never stored on, or visible to, this store.
What payment methods can I use?
The payment and wallet options available to you are shown at checkout before you confirm the order.
Is the price I see the price I pay?
Yes. The price on the product page is the price charged for the machine. The only thing that can be added is the optional express delivery upgrade, if you choose it at checkout.
Using your treadmill
Will it need assembling?
It depends on the model. Some walking pads arrive ready to use, while larger treadmills need the uprights and console fitting. The manufacturer's instructions are supplied in the box, and where assembly detail has been published for a model it appears on the product page. Email support@tonava.com if you need to know before ordering.
Can I use a treadmill upstairs or on carpet?
Both are common, but check two things first. Look at the machine's own weight on the product page and make sure you have help to carry it, and consider a mat underneath to protect carpet and reduce noise transfer through the floor.
How do I look after it?
Keep the belt clean and centred, check the manufacturer's manual for how often that model needs belt lubrication, and unplug it when it is not in use. Following the manual matters: skipped maintenance is a common reason for a warranty claim being refused.
