The E8 is JURA’s most popular machine and the recipient of frequent refinements that continue to add to its impressive roster of drinks and features. Now in Gen 5, the E8 has received two major updates in the form of Light Extraction and Sweet Foam brewing. A new slimmer profile and more robust J.O.E. features like the new Coffee Timer make the latest generation of E8 the best yet.

Three Worlds of Indulgence

The fifth generation E8 can brew with three worlds of indulgence, now offering Light Brew and Sweet Foam on top of the traditional Classic Hot Brew. Standard drink programming includes the ability to set your desired coffee strength between 5 and 16g in 10 increments (or brew with pre-ground coffee), your desired temperature in 3 increments, drink volume, and the consistency of your grind. You can also program milk and hot water volumes for specialty drinks like Cortados or Americanos. The total menu of unique drinks includes:

Espresso, Coffee, Americano, Lungo, Espresso Dopio, Cortado, Espresso Macchiato, Cappuccino, Flat White, Latte Macchiato, Portion of Milk Foam, Hot Water

Light Brew uses the Light Extraction Process which brews coffee at 140° and with 10% less grinds in order to produce a cup that’s immediately drinkable and more mild. All coffee drinks can be prepared in Light Extraction, either through permanent programming, or as a temporary one-off override.

Sweet Foam is an option for milk drinks that uses the Sweet Foam attachment for the milk frother to infuse milk with flavor from your favorite syrup.

Superlative Design

This generation of the E8 features an even more elegant and narrow design, measuring just 10.6” wide. The screen layout has been updated to be cleaner and even easier to navigate, with a dedicated button for World Selection to choose your desired brewing style on demand. Milk cleaning is also incredibly simple with an included container that creates a closed loop to clean the entire system without having to empty your drip tray. The tray itself has also received new styling to match the pattern on the 64oz water reservoir.

Despite its slimmer design, the Gen 5 E8 maintains the same 10 oz bean hopper, 16 puck dreg drawer, and features a 4.3” coffee and hot water spout used for brewing non-milk beverages and a 6” cappuccino spout used for brewing milk-based beverages.

Coffee Timer

The E8 is compatible for use with the JURA J.O.E. app when you purchase the JURA Wifi Connect (sold separately through JURA). The Coffee Timer is JURA’s automatic, wake-up-and-brew technology that uses the JURA J.O.E. app to program your E8 to turn on in the morning and brew automatically. With Coffee Timer, your favorite drink can be ready for you every morning, so you have the peace of mind to focus on other things.
