JURA W8 Overview

The JURA W8 is the workplace counterpart to JURA's popular E8 espresso machine. The smallest offering in their Professional line, the JURA W8 is a super-automatic espresso machine capable of brewing a range of one-touch coffee beverages including espresso, coffees, and Americanos along with a menu of milk drinks with favorites like cappuccinos and flat whites. In total the machine can produce 17 on-demand drinks with adjustable brew temperature and coffee strength. With a 3 liter reservoir and a bean hopper that holds over 1lb of whole bean coffee, the W8 is ideal for offices, small cafeterias or breakrooms.

Features and Performance

Out of the box, the W8's new Dark Inox housing gives it a timeless contemporary look that fits in well with modern aesthetics. JURA’s P.A.G2 Grinder delivers consistent grinding with high efficiency and a rest mode when not in use. For fuller body and thicker crema, the W8 uses the JURA’s Pulse Extraction Process which pulses water at high frequencies when making shorter espresso beverages. For milk drinks the W8 has a dedicated spout with a frother attachment that produces the perfect amount of hot milk and milk foam based on the beverage selected.

New to the W8 is the inclusion of JURA's Coffee Eye, a feature that detects whether or not there is a cup present under the spouts to prevent a brew cycle from starting accidentally. For easy cleaning, the W8 also includes a milk system cleaning caddy that connects directly to the frother to create a closed circuit for milk cleaner to be siphoned into the frother and dispensed back into the container for easy disposal.

Why You Should Get It

The W8 is also incredibly easy to use; cycle through options on the color LCD display and select a drink to personalize or brew. The W8 is as simple to keep clean as it is to brew with, especially with the Clearyl Pro Smart+ water filter installed in the 3 L reservoir to ensure great tasting coffee and reduce the need for descaling.

As on all JURA machines, the cleaning cycles are completely automated, and a warning pops up on the screen to let you know it’s time for a little maintenance. All you have to do is add the designated cleaner and press start and the W8 cleans its own brew group, milk system or descales the boiler system.
