Lelit Mara X Overview

With a stainless steel exterior, compact design, and a plethora of excellent included accessories, the Mara X is a visual treat. Once the machine powers on, the inner workings are just as impressive. The inclusion of a 1.8L stainless steel boiler, PID with dual sensors, and an E61 brew group help ensure consistency when it comes to flavor and temperature of your coffee, while convenient switches tucked away under the drip tray allow for easy adjustment between three preset of brew temperature, and the option to set steam or brew priority.

Features and Performance

With the inclusion of features like a PID with dual sensors, an E61 brew group, and a virtually silent pump, Mara X provides high efficiency and top of the line performance when it comes to heat exchanger machines. The PID’s dual sensors allow for reliably consistent brew temperatures, which also helps alleviate the tendency to overheat that heat exchangers are prone to.

Additionally, the pair of switches underneath the drip tray provide additional simplicity and ease of use when it comes to temperature adjustment, as well as whether to have the boiler prioritize steam or coffee. Located on the bottom-left of the front panel of the machine underneath the drip tray is a three-position switch that allows for the ability to swap between three preset brew temperatures – Warm (∼198°F), Hot (∼201°F), or Extra Hot (∼204°F). The other switch is located on the bottom left of the right side panel of the machine and can be toggled between one of two positions, with each position dedicated to either coffee or steam prioritization.

Other features include a 2.5L water reservoir, anti-burn and multidirectional steam and hot water wands, gauges for steam and pump pressure, pre-infusion compatibility, and an intuitive ECO mode that automatically puts the machine in stand-by mode after 30 minutes of inactivity.
