Rocket Espresso Spluga Coffee Grinder

The Spluga is a 65mm flat burr grinder and Rocket Espresso's nod to the world of professional cycling. Designed to pair with the full range of Rocket's prosumer espresso machines, the Spluga balances its powerful grinding performance with the precision and versatility of its unique Quick-Release micrometric grind adjustment. Developed by the V12 Design Studio, the Spluga is operated by a vibrant HMI touchscreen display just like Rocket's Bicocca espresso machine.

Features and Benefits

With its powerful 480W motor, the Spluga is capable of achieving grinding speeds of up to 3.3 g/sec. This power is balanced out by its convenient and ergonomic design, featuring a variable arm that locks the portafilter in place for hands free grinding and a holding fork with an anti-vibration coating.

Doses are programmable by time within 1/10 of a second intervals and you can program three unique doses in total alongside fully manual grinding. Dispensing can be operated either via a portafilter activated microswitch in "Standard" mode or via the dose buttons on the screen in "Play" mode. The Spluga's menu and HMI touchscreen were designed in collaboration with the V12 Design Studio and can be customized with one of three color schemes. Deeper menus offer information on total doses ground, day and time programming, logo and screensaver customization and more.

For grind adjustment, the Spluga uses a unique mechanism referred to as Quick-Release Micrometric. This is a form of stepless adjustment that allows for precise minute adjustment but also the ability to make larger movements by unlocking the worm gear for free adjustment of the top burr.
